Junior Lifeguards - Lake Mission Viejo Style! The Lake Mission Viejo Junior Lifeguard program is ideal for active children 8 – 16 years of age. In this eight week summer course, kids will learn basic lifeguarding skills, first aid, and beach awareness. The skills taught throughout the summer are essential for developing a strong foundation in water safety. This fun filled and exciting program is a great way to develop life long friendships and build confidence. Don’t miss out! Program runs from June 27 to August 18 2011.
NEW MAKE-UP TRYOUT HAS BEEN SCHEDULED! Still want to be a part of the Lake Mission Viejo Junior Lifeguard program this summer but missed all of the tryouts? We have just scheduled a make-up tryout for anyone wishing to tryout for the first time or retest. Get excited! Where: Sierra Recreation Center 26887 Recodo Lane Mission Viejo, CA 92691 When: Sunday, April 10 from 10am - 12noon Please see below for swim requirements, what to bring to the tryouts, and registration information. There are limited amount of spots left in the program so entry will be based on a first come, first served basis. We hope to see you there!
REGISTRATION AND SWIM TESTS will be held at: Sierra Recreation Center 26887 Recodo Lane Mission Viejo, CA 92691 on Thursday, March 3: 5pm-8pm Tuesday, March 15: 5pm-8pm Sunday, March 20: 9am- 2pm Registration will be accepted on a first come, first served basis At registration please bring your: Medical Insurance information Payment (cash, check, or credit card) Your Junior Guard for uniform fittings and Swim Test Optional: Payment for additional uniform items (separate check or cash) Lake Membership Id Card Registration fees include: Junior Lifeguard board shorts T-shirt Backpack Registration fee does not include the costs for any optional uniform such as: additional shorts or shirts, sweatshirts, visors, and rash guards.	2011 DATES AND FEES Guests (non-members) will be charged an additional 20% Elite Group (ages 14-16) 8-week session June 27- August 18 (M-TW-Th-F) 9am-12pm $300 A/B Group (ages 11-15) 8-week session June 27 - August 17 (M-W-F) 9am-12pm $350 C Group (ages 8-11) 8- week session June 29 - August 18 (T-Th) 9am-12pm $300 11-year old Junior Guard's group status will be based upon swim test results TRYOUTS - NEW TIMES Elite: Ages 14-16 100yd swim within 1:45 minutes 10 minute treading water Passing the tryout requirements does not guarantee a spot in the JG Elite.
