Junior Lifeguards - Lake Mission Viejo Style!
The Lake Mission Viejo Junior Lifeguard program is ideal for active children 8-16 years of age. In this 8 week summer course, kids will learn basic life guarding skills, first aid, and beach awareness. The skills taught throughout the summer are essential for developing a strong foundation in water safety. This fun filled and exciting program is a great way to develop life long friendships and build confidence.

Tryouts consist of…
A/B's: Ages 12-16
- 100 yard swim within 3 minutes
- 7 yard underwater swim
- 2 minutes treading water
C's: Ages 8-11
- 100 yard swim within 4 minutes
- 5 yard underwater swim
- 2 minutes treading water

Junior Lifeguard 2008 Dates and Fees:
A/B Group (ages 12-16) 8-week session:
June 23rd - August 15th (every MWF): $290
C Group (ages 8-11) 8-week session:
June 24th - August 14th (every TTh): $245
*Guests (non-members) will be charged an additional 20%
Registration fees include the following uniform items:
Junior lifeguard board shorts, T-shirt and backpack
*For the summer of 2008 we will also have optional uniform items that can be purchased separately. This includes any additional shorts or shirts, sweatshirts, visors, and rash guards.
