Member/guest:
The Lake Association utilizes the Patrol and Rescue Department to enforce the majority of LMVA rules and regulations. Lifeguards approach members and guest in the parks and on the water regarding all of these rules. Some of these contacts are made due to safety issues. Other contacts are made regarding various reasons, including protection of Association property and respect of an individual member's rights. The LMVA Board of Directors has adopted a three strikes rule approach to repeat discipline problems.
- Rule advisement can be a verbal warning or a written warning (Disciplinary Field Investigation Card filed).
- A second infraction of any kind will result in filing of a DFI card.
- If a person receives three DFI cards in any 6 month period, the Lake Manager will have the option to suspend the individual for a period determined by the Lake Manager.
- Any serious violation of a lake rule (i.e. violence, theft, abusive behavior) will result in immediate expulsion from lake property with suspension of lake privileges for a specified period of time to follow.
