Cooperation with Staff:
Directions given by any authorized Association staff must be complied with at all times when using the facilities.Appropriate behavior, cooperation and conduct with the LMVA members and staff are required at all times. Any abusive, offensive or threatening language or manner is unacceptable. The control, supervision and discipline of all employees of the Association shall be the responsibility of the management.
Member Identification:
Any member without a valid LMVA identification card will be denied access to the lake facilities. All members eight years of age and older are required to have Lake Association I.D. cards in their possession while on any Lake Mission Viejo Association property. I.D. cards must be presented upon request by any Lake Operations official. Members are required to display their Lake I.D. cards at all times while fishing. Members are required to present their LMV I.D. cards upon entry to the Lake. Members who do not bring their cards will be required to show picture I.D. and will be issued a Temporary Pass and charged a fee of $10.00. This pass will serve as a receipt to obtain a new Lake Membership Card from the membership office. The Temporary Pass is valid for up to two visits within a seven day period. Members will not be permitted to conduct any type of daily transactions with the Temporary Pass. New cards can be obtained from the Lake membership office seven days a week between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm. Members who present their current lake I.D. card along with their Temporary Pass receipt, can obtain a refund from the Membership office within seven days of issuance of the Temporary Pass. This policy is to reduce member access problems at the gates and to encourage members to bring I.D. cards to LMV.
Children:
Children under eight years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
GENERAL RULES
Glass Containers:
All forms of glass containers are prohibited within the park for safety reasons.
Use of Lake Facilities by members for Personal or Financial Gain:
No member shall conduct any activity for personal or financial gain on any LMVA property. "LMVA Property" means the "Lake Lot," as described in the Lake Mission Viejo Association CC&Rs, which includes, but is not limited to, dam, spillways, bulkhead, recreation facilities, landscaping, parking lot, roadways and any common area designed for the use of the members.
Soliciting, Selling and Advertising:
No person shall dispose of any goods, distribute, post, circulate or conduct any business of any nature without prior approval.
Entertainment:
No person shall set up or maintain any exhibition, show, concert, place of amusement, lecture, oration or concert hall without permission.
Alcoholic Beverages:
The Lake Manager reserves the right to prohibit the consumption of alcoholic beverages by any person or group on Lake Mission Viejo and related facilities. Only people 21 years and older may consume alcohol on the premises.
Skates, Skateboards and Bikes:
LMVA does not allow any wheeled device, motorized or manual to be ridden inside the premises due to safety considerations. These include, but are not limited to Razor scooters, roller skates/blades, tricycles, big wheels, inline skates, heelies, skateboards, pedal cars, battery operated cars, motor scooters or any other manufactured or homemade wheeled apparatus.
Speed Limits:
5 miles per hour in parking lots, seven miles per hour on the lake.
Vehicle Use and Parking:
No person shall operate any motorized vehicle or bicycle in other than designated areas. No person shall park in a designated handicapped parking space unless the car displays a placard or license plate that has been issued to the handicapped person for such parking by the California Department of Motor Vehicles. Any vehicle parked or left standing in violation of this section may be subject to towing and impoundment as provided in the California Vehicle Code. Parking in designated fire lanes (red curbs) is prohibited at all times.
Cleaning, Repairing of Vehicles:
No person shall clean, polish or make other than emergency repairs to any vehicle within the Lake facilities. A boat wash and rinse area has been designated for boat cleaning only.
Lost and Found:
Lost and found articles turned in to the Association will be held for a maximum of two weeks.
Vandalism:
Any vandalism should be reported immediately to the Association. Any member witnessing damage or vandalism should inform the Association and report the offender immediately. Acts of vandalism are reported to the Mission Viejo Sheriff's Department and the vandal will be prosecuted. The member shall be responsible for any and all damages to any facility caused by the member or the member's guests and will be liable for all repair and replacement costs, including fines.
Smoking:
Smoking is not allowed inside any building or within 15 feet of any doorway or window. Please dispose of your cigarettes properly and be courteous to those around you.
Fishing Times:
Fishing shall be conducted only during hours of operation.
Authority to Close:
The Lake Mission Viejo Association Manager or Lifeguard Supervisor may close the Recreation area or portion thereof, for such times as are necessary for maintenance and repair, special events, lightening storms and safety of the membership.
Remote Control Equipment:
All remote controlled equipment must be approved and registered for Lake use.
Pets:
Pets of any nature are prohibited.
Closed Areas:
No person shall enter any posted, restricted or closed area. No climbing on any Lake Association fences, gates, railings, trees, lifeguard towers or slopes.
Barbecues:
Barbecues are permitted only in designated areas. Barbecue coals are to be discarded in appropriate metal containers. No portable barbecues during concerts and/or special events.
Fire:
Open fires are prohibited.
Park/Grass Areas:
No ground tarps allowed.
Litter:
All trash and litter must be disposed of in the proper trash and recycling containers.
Carts:
Blue carts are for transporting equipment and supplies ONLY - NOT PEOPLE. All carts must be taken back to the return area immediately after arrival at recreational destination.
Tables:
Two tables per family membership for parties. Table use is on a first come, first served basis. Members must personally stay with tables. Leaving items on unattended tables does not constitute possession of the tables. Lost items are not the responsibility of LMVA.
Reserved Tables:
The following rules apply to reserving tables:
- Maximum of two tables may be re-served by a family membership.
- Tables can be reserved up to 30 days but no less than 24 hours in advance.
- Reserved tables are available for $5.00 each.
- No table reservations will be taken on concert or movie dates.
- Tables are reserved for the entire day.
Reservations must be made in-person. Fees must be paid at this time.
No Feeding the Birds or Fish:
In order to protect the water quality of LMV, all members and guests must refrain from feeding any birds or fish on or near the water and on any LMVA property.
Wildlife:
Mistreating wildlife, including, but not limited to birds, fish, rabbits, and squirrels is prohibited.
